According to statistics, in 2023, the number of domestic and outbound trips taken by Slovak residents reached only 91.2% of the 2019 peak, with domestic tourism recovering faster at 92.2%.

In 2023, the number of domestic and outbound trips taken by Slovak residents had not fully recovered from the pandemic’s impact. It reached only 91.2% of its peak value in 2019. The trend was observed separately for domestic and outbound tourism. Domestic tourism recovered faster, reaching 92.2% of the 2019 level. Notably, residents accounted for 64.2% of all domestic and outbound trips in 2023.
