In March 2024, the EU experienced 69 million tourist arrivals, predominantly in Germany, France, and Spain, up 6.4% from 2019, highlighting a recovery in tourism.

In March 2024, the European Union saw an estimated 69 million tourist arrivals. Over half of these arrivals occurred in three countries: Germany (13.4 million), France (11.8 million), and Spain (10.8 million). The remaining 15 countries, including Liechtenstein, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Luxembourg, Latvia, and others, accounted for only 5.6% of the total arrivals. Compared to the same month in 2019, there was a 6.4% increase in arrivals, marking the highest value since the pandemic began and indicating industry recovery.
