According to statistics, in 2023, Slovak residents made 4.5 million long trips and 6.5 million short trips, with the majority being domestic, while business trips abroad decreased by 53.5% compared to 2019.

In 2023, Slovak residents made a total of 4.5 million long trips and 6.5 million short trips (compared to 5.3 million and 6.7 million, respectively, in 2019). These trips were primarily for personal purposes, totaling 11.0 million trips. The majority of these trips were domestic, accounting for 64.2%, while the remaining 35.8% were taken abroad. Additionally, 0.9 million trips by Slovak residents were for business purposes, with the majority of those being abroad (50.1%), representing a 53.5% decrease compared to 2019 levels.
