The UNWTO is now accepting applications for the 2025 edition of its Best Tourism Villages initiative, encouraging rural destinations worldwide to apply. This programme aims to promote sustainable development and cultural preservation in rural areas by recognising villages that excel in these fields. Member States can submit up to eight candidate villages through their National Tourism Administrations by 19 May 2025.
