The Regional Tourism Authority for the Lisbon Region has launched a call for proposals under the Portugal Events programme, allocating €400,000 to support events that enhance the region’s tourism appeal in 2025. This initiative aims to stimulate local economic growth and strengthen the region’s image as a tourist destination.

Eligible applicants include companies of any size that organise events or hold the rights to do so, as well as public entities.

To qualify, events must take place after 30 June 2025 and contribute to increased tourist demand and a more diverse regional offering. Funding will cover costs directly related to event organisation and promotion.

Applications must be submitted by 25 July 2025.

Proposals will be evaluated based on criteria such as the event’s relevance, media visibility, economic impact, innovation, and sustainability. For more details, please follow the attached link (The original piece available only in Portuguese).
