The project revealed that destinations and tourism stakeholders lack the necessary skills, expertise, and resources to effectively develop and implement resilience and crisis management initiatives. While the project helped introduce crisis management topics and create an action plan, beneficiaries would have benefited from ongoing support for effective implementation. Therefore, it is recommended that the European Commission establish a long-term technical assistance program to aid stakeholders in designing and implementing resilience and crisis preparedness initiatives.
