In addition to establishing a clear governance structure, effective coordination among different levels of government is crucial for building resilience and improving crisis management in tourism. This coordination ensures alignment and complementarity of policies, regulations, and strategies across governance levels. A cohesive approach with shared objectives, grounded in robust cooperation, is essential for a resilient tourism sector. While national governments handle budgetary decisions, local and regional governments are better positioned to implement programs tailored to the needs of tourism businesses. Their close relationships with local businesses enable them to design, evaluate, and adapt programs effectively.
