The survey, published by Federalberghi in April 2025, provides a detailed overview of Italian travel trends during the Easter holidays, with 2.7 million opting for extended vacations due to the favourable sequence of holidays on 25 April and 1 May. The total economic impact is estimated at €4.9 billion, with most travellers choosing domestic destinations, particularly the sea, mountains, and cultural sites. The survey highlights that 69.3% of travellers booked their trips well in advance, and the average holiday duration will be 4.7 days. This trend indicates a positive recovery for the tourism sector, following the disruptions caused by the pandemic (The original piece available only in Italian).
