The European Travel Commission’s report, published in October 2024, offers insights into the travel intentions and behaviors of Europeans from October 2024 to March 2025. It reveals that 73% of Europeans plan to travel during the upcoming autumn and winter seasons, with younger generations showing the highest enthusiasm. While popular destinations like Spain, France, and Italy remain favored, there is also a growing interest in lesser-known locations within these countries. The report examines the sentiment, drivers, and behaviors for domestic and intra-European travel across ten high-volume European source markets: Germany, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, Poland, and Austria. It is structured into four main parts, providing an overview of highlights and recommendations, travel intentions, planning details, and travel considerations to help tourism stakeholders prepare for the autumn and winter seasons.
