The "Together for EU Tourism" (T4T) expert group, specifically its Digital Subgroup and the Indicators Task Force, developed a report aimed at mapping existing frameworks and initiatives that have integrated sustainability into tourism statistics. This report highlights key initiatives by various organisations, including UN Tourism, Eurostat, OECD, and the European Commission, to foster shared learning and cooperation. Among the mentioned innovative steps by organisations are advancements such as the UN's Statistical Framework for Measuring the Sustainability of Tourism (SF-MST), the EU Tourism Dashboard, and the Glasgow Declaration on Climate Action in Tourism. The document aims to identify effective practices, gaps in current methodologies, and opportunities for innovation, guiding the development of a harmonised framework that promotes sustainability in tourism.
