The WebAIM Million report, published in February 2025, highlights significant accessibility issues on the top one million homepages on the web. The analysis revealed that many travel and tourism websites fail to meet the needs of disabled users, with common barriers including poor text alternatives for images, low contrast text, and missing form labels. This lack of accessibility not only limits the digital experience for disabled individuals but also represents a missed opportunity for businesses in the travel sector to engage a wider audience. The report underscores the importance of enhancing web accessibility to ensure inclusivity and improve user experience across the digital landscape.
