The BLUE TOURISM project seeks to address current challenges by training future local advisors to help small tourism providers in watercourse regions become more sustainable and competitive. To achieve this goal, the project published educational resource packages, offering tailored training with competence area guidance, tutorials, hands-on resources, practical tips, and useful readings.

The eighth adviser resource package, published in March 2023, focuses on innovation and digital transformation. It outlines the impact of digital transformation on the tourism industry, detailing ICT skills and digital environments for various sectors, recommending methods to enhance business processes and customer experience, and providing guidance for small tourism providers on adopting and managing digital tools. The full educational resource is available on the left-hand side of the platform for anyone interested.
