The United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), in collaboration with Saxion University of Applied Sciences, released a report in January 2025 that explores the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the tourism sector. The document offers practical insights, recommendations, and case studies from UN Tourism Affiliate Members, illustrating diverse AI applications in tourism and demonstrating how stakeholders can effectively and responsibly adopt AI-driven innovations. The goal is to equip industry leaders, policymakers, technologists, and academics with a thorough understanding of the current AI landscape, future opportunities, and important considerations for AI adoption in tourism.
