On 11 July 2025, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) announced a new cooperation agreement with Air France-KLM, making the airline group the first to join the EU’s Flight Emissions Label (FEL) initiative.
Through this partnership, Air France and KLM will be able to evaluate and trial the FEL’s digital tools, gaining access to reliable emissions data from EASA prior to formally applying to the initiative under Regulation (EU) 2024/3170. This collaboration supports the EU’s broader objectives of enhancing transparency and promoting decarbonisation within the aviation sector.
The agreement underscores the airline group’s voluntary commitment to sustainability and contributes to the wider rollout of the Flight Emissions Label.
