Published in February 2025 by the Active2Public Transport (A2PT) project, the 2024 Danube Cycling Tourist Survey—based on responses from over 5,000 cycling tourists—reveals a strong demand for integrating cycling holidays with public transport across the Danube Region.

The findings underscore the need to enhance cross-border public transport connectivity by improving timetables, streamlining ticketing systems, and developing efficient multimodal hubs.

The ultimate goal? To boost cycling tourism, promote sustainable travel, and foster international collaboration among the nine Danube Region countries.
