Commitments by aspirational objectives:
ANCC-COOP have several actions in line with the Code’s aspirational objectives, covering multiple sustainability dimensions, as follows:
Environmental sustainability: resource efficiency, energy use, packaging, plastics optimization, food waste/loss across the chain;
Social sustainability: human rights, decent work, employment and workplace conditions (equity, diversity, training);
Economic sustainability: improved resilience of value chain actors through partnerships.
They attribute particular attention to the importance of healthy and sustainable diets, so ANCC Coop and Coop Italia, also in name and on behalf of the Italian consumers co-operatives under the Coop trademark, look to design commitments towards improved consumption patterns and a food environment; consumer information, education and campaigning.
