We adhere to the EU Code of Conduct on Responsible Food Business and Marketing Practices because its objectives are deeply aligned with our company's commitment to sustainable food systems and responsible business practices. We believe that a strong focus on environmental and social responsibility is crucial for the future of the agri-food sector.
By becoming a signatory, we aim to actively contribute to the collective effort to build a more sustainable agri-food chain in Europe, particularly in minimising waste and reducing losses in operations and improving resource-efficiency within our own operations. We are also joining to become part of a community of like-minded organisations committed to sustainability, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Adhering to the Code of Conduct will enhance our transparency and credibility with stakeholders and drive continuous improvement in our sustainability performance. We are enthusiastic about actively participating in this initiative and contributing to a more responsible and sustainable future for the agri-food sector.
Implementing our commitment means making the Code of Conduct's goals part of our everyday business and future plans. We'll begin by assessing our current position relative to the Code's objectives, then develop specific action plans with clear targets for areas like sustainable sourcing, waste reduction, and product development. These plans will be integrated across our operations, supported by necessary training for our staff. We'll set up systems to track our progress effectively and commit to transparent annual reporting. This ongoing cycle of evaluation, action, and reporting is how we'll ensure we're continuously working towards the Code's vision.
