The Deputy Ministry of Tourism's Annual Action Plan 2025, released in November, 2024, describes the implementation of the updated National Tourism Strategy 2035 of Cyprus. Key initiatives include strengthening the country's strategic promotion as a tourist destination, modernising the legislative framework for licensing and operating tourism businesses, and enhancing the functionality of the Tourism Observatory. The plan also focuses on boosting the competitiveness of the tourism product by leveraging the country's comparative advantages and improving the competitiveness of individual destinations.
Additionally, the ministry plans to support innovative tourism products and services, enhance digital transformation in tourism and promote Cyprus as a year-round destination. These efforts aim to ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of the tourism industry in Cyprus.
