The Policy Brief on Nature-Based Solutions (NbS), released in June, 2023, by NetZeroCities, offers policy recommendations from seven Mission Cities to EU decision-makers and national authorities, emphasizing the integration of NbS into urban planning to achieve climate neutrality by 2030. It presents practices of some cities, including Lahti which highlights the need for coherent EU policies that integrate climate and nature goals; and Sevilla that addresses extreme heat challenges and calls for EU guidance on urban infrastructure projects.
