The CIBUS project, funded by Interreg Europe, aims to reduce food loss and waste across the production and supply chain by enhancing public capacity to design, implement, and monitor integrated, cross-sector, and innovation-driven policies. Coordinated by the Bulgarian Association of Municipal Environmental Experts, it focuses on creating multi-stakeholder platforms, promoting circularity and innovation, improving data transparency, and aligning strategies with SDG Target 12.3. Running from April 2024 to June 2028, its expected outcomes include improved policy instruments, strengthened collaboration across sectors, and the development of sustainable, data-informed approaches to food waste prevention.
