The event brings together academics, businesses, associations and policymakers to foster dialogue on how responsible business conduct can become a driver of long-term business value and competitiveness across the European Union.
Through keynote speeches and panel discussions, the workshop seeks to identify best practices and actionable strategies that align private-sector interests with the EU’s sustainability objectives, using incentives as levers to promote responsible business conduct.
Participants will receive discussion papers with guiding questions in advance. The sessions are designed to be interactive, including Q&A tools and a town-hall style format where attendees can express views and ask questions.
By consolidating knowledge and encouraging constructive discussion, the workshop aims to generate concrete policy ideas that support a transition to a more sustainable and resilient Single Market, benefiting businesses, society and the environment alike.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday 28 January 2026, 09:30–16:00 CET, at the premises of the European Commission, Avenue d’Auderghem 45, 1040 Brussels.
