Cluster organisations are doing more than ever, backing industrial transformation, opening doors for SMEs, pushing innovation forward, but the funding they rely on is often short-term and fragmented.
On 10 June 2026, 08:30-10:00 CEST, the ECCP will host a discussion on what financial sustainability looks like in practice. The conversation will look at different revenue mixes (public-driven, member-driven, market-oriented and hybrid), and at the conditions that make it easier or harder for clusters in different countries and settings to diversify their income over time.
The agenda will open with a keynote on the structural challenges to cluster financing, followed by a panel where cluster managers and alliance leaders share concrete lessons from their own organisations. A dedicated segment will cover upcoming EU funding opportunities relevant to evolving cluster business models, and the session will close with an open Q&A.
Speakers include:
- Christian Rangen, Strategy advisor and CEO, Engage//Innovate
- Marcos Suárez, Strategic Areas Director, Basque Energy Cluster
- Alexandre Yurchak, CEO, Ukrainian Cluster Alliance
- Claire Grosbois, European Project Development Manager, VEGEPOLYS VALLEY
- Silvia Rossi, Cluster Manager, Clust-ER BUILD
- Ásta Kristín Sigurjónsdóttir, Managing Director, Iceland Tourism
