Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics and Cinte Techtextil China recently brought together different areas of textile innovation in Shanghai. Representing Textile ETP and the SmartX Innovation Hub, Senior Manager of Smart & Technical Textiles Judith Bosch visited both fairs, which together highlighted developments across materials, smart textiles and high-performance textile applications.

The two events offered complementary perspectives on textile innovation. Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics showcased developments in materials and fabrics, while Cinte Techtextil China focused on technical textiles and their applications across different industrial systems. Taken together, the fairs demonstrated how innovation can range from engineering new material functionalities to integrating those materials into broader products and industrial applications.

The visits formed part of the SmartX Innovation Hub’s activities to support learning, networking and collaboration around smart and high-performance textiles. The Hub brings together companies, research organisations and brands working on e-textiles, wearables and other advanced textile applications.

For detailed information about the experience and of the exhibition, please visit official website of Textile ETP.
