The six partnerships were developed with the support of the EU-funded TCLF SkillBridge project, which supports public-private organisations in the work of bringing together industry, education providers, public authorities, trade unions, and other stakeholders to address current and future workforce needs.

Complementing the Erasmus+ Blueprint projects METASKILLS4TCLF and AEQUALIS4TCLF, TCLF SkillBridge is expanding the Large Skills Partnership, the TCLF Skills Alliance, and contributing to the implementation of the Pact for Skills.

The six newly approved partnerships are:

• Baden-Württemberg (Leather)
• Catalonia (Textiles and Clothing)
• Emilia-Romagna (Textiles, Clothing, Leather and Footwear)
• Nouvelle-Aquitaine (Textiles, Clothing, Leather and Footwear)
• Valencian Community (Textiles and Clothing)

The Attica Regional Skills Partnership for the TCLF industries in Greece aims to create a holistic learning environment that strengthens education and hands-on training while helping younger generations recognise career opportunities in the sector. The partnership will work with local, regional and national stakeholders to develop training initiatives that address skills needs, strengthen skills intelligence and promote digital and green skills. It will also support SMEs and designers through hands-on training, mentoring and apprenticeship schemes, while carrying out awareness-raising activities to improve the attractiveness of careers in the TCLF industries.

The Baden-Württemberg Regional Skills Partnership for Leather in Germany aims to build a modern, sustainable and attractive skills ecosystem to strengthen the competitiveness of the leather sector. The partnership will promote leather careers through a communication campaign to improve the sector’s image, make training more accessible through regionalised, blended and digital learning models, and expand apprenticeship and mentoring schemes. It will also encourage greater use of national and EU funding, mobility and support programmes by raising awareness of available opportunities among companies.

The Catalonia Regional Skills Partnership for Textile and Clothing in Spain aims to strengthen the textile ecosystem by addressing skills gaps, supporting training and promoting innovation in response to the sector’s green and digital transformation. The partnership will identify training needs and promote programmes focused on digital manufacturing, sustainable design and advanced materials, ensuring that skills development reflects current and emerging labour market needs. It will also strengthen cooperation between companies, workers, educational centres, universities and sector organisations, while supporting talent attraction, vocational education and training, and initiatives to raise awareness of career opportunities in the sector.

The Emilia-Romagna Regional Skills Partnership in Italy aims to contribute to a competitive, innovative and sustainable TCLF ecosystem by ensuring that companies have access to the skills needed for the green and digital transitions. The partnership will support skills development through training opportunities in technical, artisanal, green, digital, sustainability, circular economy, traceability and innovation skills. It will also develop a regional TCLF skills intelligence system to identify current and future skills needs, labour market trends and emerging professional profiles, while promoting collaboration among stakeholders and awareness of skills development opportunities.

The Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Skills Partnership in France aims to help companies in the TCLF industries respond to economic, technological and environmental transitions by strengthening cooperation between regional stakeholders. The partnership will develop new training in areas such as eco-design, textile recycling, circular economy compliance, digital traceability and AI, while supporting upskilling, skills transfer and recruitment. It will also develop digital tools and collaborative workshops, promote the attractiveness of the sector, and support companies in adapting to ongoing changes, contributing to a more coordinated and sustainable regional skills ecosystem.

The Valencian Community Regional Skills Partnership for Textile and Clothing in Spain aims to position the region as a European benchmark for sustainable, innovative and competitive textile and clothing manufacturing, aligned with the green and digital transitions. The partnership will develop training programmes in areas including circular economy, digitalisation and smart manufacturing, while promoting reskilling, dual vocational education and training (VET), and lifelong learning. It will also establish a regional framework for skills intelligence to monitor skills gaps and anticipate labour market needs, while strengthening talent attraction and retention through outreach, career guidance and collaboration between schools and industry.
