The Romanian Association for Textile Reuse and Recycling (ARETEX) is committed to supporting the transition towards a more circular textile sector in Romania by promoting textile reuse and strengthening its role in the circular economy. Building on its previous advocacy and public engagement activities, ARETEX promotes public understanding of textile reuse, second-hand clothing and their environmental and social value. ARETEX commits to implementing at least 1 public awareness initiative by 31 December 2027, promoting the environmental and social value of textile reuse and responsible clothing consumption, to increase public recognition of textile reuse as an important part of a more sustainable textile sector.
