CDC Studio pledges to strengthen the sustainable competitiveness of the textiles ecosystem by building industrial symbiosis between textiles and furniture, turning by-products of the textile industry into a raw material for the furniture and design sector. Building on its existing long-term supply contracts for incoming by-products and on its compound already in production for furniture design applications, CDC Studio will expand both ends of this value chain: securing stable, traceable textile by-product flows from textile manufacturers, and supplying furniture and design companies with a circular alternative to virgin plastics.
CDC Studio pledges to establish at least four new partnerships every year until 2028 to reduce downstream sectors’ dependence on fossil-based raw materials and create new value from textile by-products.
