By 31 December 2027, OSE-TOI commits to developing and testing at least one functional prototype demonstrating how a single, persistent digital product identity can remain associated with successive physical incarnations of a garment, without requiring the creation of a new identity following reconstruction.
The prototype will demonstrate this continuity across at least four textile lifecycle scenarios – second-hand transfer, repair, transformation and reconstruction – with the involvement of at least two pilot designers or brands.
OSE-TOI aims to complete its first physical textile prototype well ahead of the December 2027 deadline, allowing sufficient time for pilot testing, validation and documentation.
OSE-TOI will document the demonstrated scenarios and pilot feedback and produce a non-confidential summary of lessons learned on interoperability with applicable and emerging European Digital Product Passport requirements and technical specifications.
Progress will be reported annually against four measurable outputs: one functional prototype, at least two pilot designers or brands, at least four demonstrated lifecycle scenarios, and one non-confidential summary of interoperability lessons learned. The pledge concerns technical demonstration and learning and does not imply that compliance with future DPP requirements has already been achieved.

OSE-TOI,
France
As the founder of OSE-TOI, I am pleased to share this commitment to advancing circular textile innovation in Europe.
Our next priority is to move from our initial software proof of concept to a functional physical textile prototype.
We are actively seeking collaboration with textile research centres, manufacturers, RFID/NFC technology specialists, fashion designers and brands interested in participating in pilot demonstrations.
We also welcome connections with innovation organisations and potential industrial partners who can help turn this initiative into a practical European solution.
If your organisation is working on textile circularity, digital product identity or advanced manufacturing, I would be delighted to connect and explore possible collaboration.
