The EU-funded DESTINATIONS project aimed to enhance sustainable mobility in Mediterranean tourist towns like Madeira, Limassol, Rethymno, Valletta, Elba, and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, addressing the transportation challenges faced by residents and tourists. From September 2016 to May 2021, the project provided green, smart, and flexible transportation solutions, established private-public collaboration schemes, and developed effective business models. The initiative demonstrated the effectiveness of six proposed solutions to meet diverse mobility demands.
