The POCITYF project publication, released on May 3, 2023, presents strategies for transforming Granada into a smart city by 2050. It emphasizes adoption of successful initiatives from Lighthouse Cities, and provides key plans, which include upgrading buildings for better energy efficiency, integrating renewable energy sources, developing smart grid infrastructure for enhanced energy management, promoting electric vehicles, and improving public transportation systems. Additionally, the strategy emphasizes citizen engagement through awareness campaigns and participatory initiatives. The report is structured into five sections, detailing the replication activities in Granada, including background, benchmark framework, processes towards implementing the Replication Plan, plan development, and a summary of the document’s work. The results presented aim to address the challenges Granada must face to transform into a Smart City and achieve its Smart-City Vision.
