Boc d’Oc, a small food company in Montpellier, was one of the 12 finalists of The Foodies 2026, announced at SIAL Paris on 18 October 2026. It prepares fresh ready meals from local, seasonal and organic or low-input ingredients and serves them in deposit-return glass jars.

The company sources from producers within about 150 km of Montpellier, rotates around 80 recipes with the seasons, and operates from the processing hub of the city’s wholesale market. It reports a zero-waste organisation and, in a public case study, that turnover has doubled each year since creation.

The Foodies recognises SMEs driving sustainability from farm to fork, and its finalists receive visibility at SIAL Paris and on the European Commission’s agri-food platform.
