In 2025, AöL focused on supporting its member companies in implementing sustainability initiatives. Several working groups addressed topics such as climate action and net-zero strategies, supply chain legislation, sustainability reporting, the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), and Green Claims. These groups enabled companies to exchange experiences, discuss regulatory requirements, and share best practices.

In addition, AöL organized two sustainability meetings hosted by member companies, participated in the Food for Biodiversity network, and supported its members in sustainability communication as well as in navigating policy and regulatory developments at both EU and national level.

AöL also strengthened cooperation across the food value chain and maintained active exchange with research institutions, industry associations, government bodies, EU institutions, standard-setting organizations, and software providers in order to advance sustainable practices within the food sector.
