The event is rooted in the EU’s Life Sciences and Bioeconomy Strategies, reflecting the role of advanced fermentation (including biomass and precision fermentation) in producing a range of high-end, low-impact products from renewable materials.

Having that in mind, the scope of the Conference is to bring together stakeholders in advanced fermentation technologies to:

  • connect industry, research and policy actors;

  • foster collaboration and exchange knowledge;

  • discuss research & innovation, scaling-up and financing challenges;

  • examine regulatory frameworks and how to support SMEs;

  • explore sector-specific applications of advanced fermentation (e.g., bio-based products, textiles, health therapies).
