The European Federation of Food Science and Technology (EFFoST) is a non-profit organization that connects food scientists and technologists across Europe. EFFoST serves as a dynamic platform for food professionals, researchers, and industry stakeholders to collaborate on scientific and technological advancements in the food sector. As a non-profit organization, it fosters interdisciplinary dialogue and supports the development of innovative solutions to address global food challenges, such as sustainability, nutrition, and food safety.
The organization is intended to bridge the gap between academia, industry, and policy by facilitating knowledge exchange and promoting best practices. It supports young scientists, encourages international cooperation, and contributes to shaping European food policy through its network of experts and institutional partners.
EFFoST’s main activities include organizing the annual EFFoST International Conference, publishing scientific research, and participating in EU-funded projects. These initiatives aim to drive innovation and ensure that food systems are resilient, inclusive, and future-ready.
EFFoST has more than 130 affiliated members, including universities, research institutes, associations, and societies from across Europe.
