The 2026 booklet on Europe’s circular bioeconomy presents an overview of progress since 2014, reporting support for 243 projects involving 1,860 participants from 46 countries and the mobilisation of more than €1.45 billion in investment, including private co-investment linked to EU support. It highlights developments in industrial scale-up, pilot and flagship facilities, SME participation, research collaboration and the emergence of bio-based products and biorefineries across Europe.
