The project focuses on advanced materials that can reduce the EU's dependence on CRMs. It targets three strategic sectors: mobility, construction and electronics. The aim is to strengthen Europe's autonomy and support sustainable innovation.

The work responds to the Communication on Advanced Materials for Industrial Leadership, which identifies the need for R&I to replace critical raw materials (CRMs) with advanced alternatives and reduce their use through improved material efficiency.
