The Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic, in collaboration with the Ministry for Regional Development of the Czech Republic, has announced a call for proposals under the Interreg Slovakia–Czechia 2021–2027 programme. This initiative aims to enhance cross-border cooperation by addressing shared regional challenges and promoting sustainable development in border areas.
The call is open under two thematic priorities, one of which focuses on tourism and culture. This priority seeks to strengthen the role of culture and sustainable tourism in driving economic growth, fostering social inclusion, and encouraging social innovation.
Eligible applicants include public institutions, non-governmental organisations, and educational or research entities. Each project must involve at least one Slovak and one Czech partner. A total of EUR 4.5 million from the European Regional Development Fund has been allocated to co-finance selected projects, with EUR 1.5 million specifically earmarked for joint cross-border initiatives in culture and tourism.
Applications must be submitted by 16 September 2025 (The original piece available only in Slovak).
