Adequate resource allocation and funding are essential for the tourism ecosystem to build resilience and manage crises effectively. Financial resources are needed for proactive measures and timely responses during crises, such as emergency support for affected businesses. SMEs play a vital role in the industry but face financial constraints, especially while recovering from COVID-19-related impacts. This burden hinders their ability to invest in resilience and crisis management, increasing vulnerability. Therefore, advocating for financial support and skills training for SMEs is crucial to enhance their resilience and preparedness in the tourism sector.
