Between February and March 2025, the European Commission conducted an in-person survey across EU Member States to assess public attitudes towards climate change. The results, published in June 2025, show that 85% of respondents view climate change as a significant global issue. Additionally, 81% support the EU’s goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050. A growing number of individuals—particularly in Southern Europe, Poland, and Hungary—report feeling personally affected by climate-related risks. The data also reflect a widespread perception that climate measures offer both economic and social benefits.
The comprehensive report, along with individual fact sheets for each of the 27 Member States, is available on the Eurobarometer website.
