The European Travel Commission released an inforgraphic in March 2025 detailing the tourism trends and prospects of the fourth quarter of 2024. It offers readers an overview of the current state of European tourism, the wider macroeconomic context and a summary of travel and tourism trends in Q4 of 2024. It compares the most important tourism indicators of 2024 to 2019, such as foreign arrivals to European destinations, European number of flights, risks and opportunities, travel sentiment and value of European tourism. Overall, despite economic and environmental challenges, European tourism remained robust, with a notable shift towards off-peak travel and value-for-money destinations.
