The POCITYF project publication, released on May 3, 2023, outlines a strategy to transform Újpest into a smart city by 2050. The vision details the replication of innovative solutions from lighthouse cities, focusing on energy efficiency, renewable energy integration, and citizen engagement. Key areas include the development of positive energy buildings, peer-to-peer energy storage and management, e-mobility integration, and citizen-driven innovation. The report is structured in five sections, covering the replication activities in Újpest city, including background, benchmark framework, processes towards the implementation of the Replication Plan, plan development, and a summary of the document’s work. The results presented address the challenges Újpest must overcome to achieve its Smart-City Vision.
