The National Tourism Strategy 2030, published by Innovation Norway in April 2021, presents a strategic framework for the sustainable development of Norway's tourism sector. It focuses on three main pillars: recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, the green shift and digitalisation. The strategy includes 23 specific measures aimed at increasing export revenues by 20 billion NOK, boosting domestic consumption by 20 billion NOK, and creating 43,000 new jobs by 2030. Additionally, it targets a 50% reduction in climate emissions from the tourism sector. Key initiatives include promoting innovative cultural experiences, enhancing nature-based tourism, and developing a national concept for food and dining experiences. The strategy also emphasizes the importance of public-private partnerships and the need for competitive regulatory conditions to support these goals.
