The ECOFOODCYCLE project, funded by the Interreg Italy-Croatia Programme, aims to reduce food waste and its environmental footprint by promoting sustainable food systems across the Adriatic region. Coordinated by the Public Institution Development Agency of Lika-Senj County, it focuses on assessing food waste, testing reduction solutions through pilots and an online platform, and fostering stakeholder engagement and awareness. Running from April 2024 to September 2026, its expected outcomes include a joint cross-border strategy, practical solutions, training schemes, and a collaborative network to ensure long-term environmental and economic benefits.
