The WestMED Initiative is inviting experts to join its Technical Group on Sustainable Tourism, a forum for discussing trends and developing projects aligned with EU priorities in the Western Mediterranean, with applications open until 31 March 2025.

The WestMED Initiative has opened a second call for experts to join its Technical Group on Sustainable Tourism. This group will serve as a technical forum to discuss trends and opportunities for advancing sustainable tourism in the Western Mediterranean region. It will also support participants in developing project ideas aligned with EU priorities, including the green transition, digitalisation, social inclusion, governance, and skills development in the tourism sector.

Eligible applicants include technical stakeholders involved in tourism initiatives, such as partners of the Interreg Euro MED Sustainable Tourism Mission, participants in previous EU tourism projects, Mediterranean tourism stakeholders from both the public and private sectors, Non-EU Associated Partners, the Travel Foundation, associations, networks, tourism businesses, research and innovation centres, technological hubs, universities, port representatives, local governments, and professionals from the yachting, small cruising, and nautical sectors. Interested candidates are invited to submit their applications by 31 March 2025.
