The UN Tourism Academy has launched an open call for academic institutions, consultancy firms or universities to conduct a global study on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in tourism. The initiative aims to produce a Global AI Report, develop policy recommendations for Member States, and design a training course for government officials to support AI integration in tourism governance and strategy. The call focuses on analysing AI trends, workforce impacts, policy gaps, and best practices, while also developing a practical training programme to build institutional capacity. Eligible applicants must demonstrate strong expertise in AI policy, tourism governance, and international project experience. The selected entities will receive support to deliver a series of outputs, including survey analysis, a final report, and a training course.
