A pilot training course for Circular Economy Transition Managers in the furniture sector is currently open for participation, supporting efforts to equip professionals with the skills needed to drive circular transformation. The initiative, featured on the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform, focuses on building capacity within the sector to adopt more sustainable and circular practices.

The course is structured around 10 training modules covering key topics related to circular economy principles, including sustainable product design, resource efficiency and circular business models. It brings together participants from across the furniture value chain and aims to provide practical knowledge, learning resources and opportunities for collaboration. As part of the pilot phase, the course is being tested and refined to ensure it meets the needs of industry stakeholders and supports real-world application.

The pilot phase is open until 31 March, with the objective of testing the course with around 400 participants and gathering feedback to further improve its content and delivery. The initiative represents an important step in strengthening skills for circular economy transitions within the furniture sector.
