The Together for EU Tourism (T4T) Expert Group, under its Green Transition subgroup, has unveiled a series of strategic recommendations to standardize the measurement of tourism's ecological footprint. These proposals are directed at the European Commission, Member States, Regions, and the tourism industry itself. By advocating for unified methodologies, the group seeks to improve policy direction and data analysis related to tourism's environmental aspects.
This initiative also emphasizes support for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the sector, encouraging them to adopt and promote sustainable practices. Released within the comprehensive document, these recommendations highlight the importance of collaboration among stakeholders to drive a sustainable shift in tourism practices.
For an in-depth understanding of the strategies and implications, readers are encouraged to examine the full document attached.
