FOODForce brings together 26 institutions—including 11 universities, 14 research organisations, and one NGO—from 17 European countries to form a collaborative platform in the fields of food, nutrition, and health. The network recognises the diverse expertise of its members while promoting a shared commitment to multidisciplinary research and innovation. It serves as a proactive forum for discussing best practices, societal impact, and international cooperation.
The network is designed to facilitate collaborative research, strengthen ties with EU institutions, and broaden engagement with global partners. It also supports the mobility of researchers, particularly early-career scientists, and encourages the development and exchange of best practices in managing food and health research. FOODForce plays a strategic role in shaping research agendas and aligning with European initiatives such as the European Technology Platform “Food for Life.”
FOODForce’s main activities include biannual meetings, joint position papers, and active participation in EU research frameworks. It operates without direct funding, relying on the commitment of its members to sustain its mission.
