The Digital Blue Economy and Innovation Acceleration Network (DBAN) project, funded by the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF), aimed to create a digital network to accelerate blue growth initiatives in Bulgaria, Georgia and Ukraine. Coordinated by Burgas Municipality in Bulgaria, it focused on supporting SMEs in their transition towards sustainable resource management through innovation, circular and bio-based solutions. Running from July 2022 to June 2024, key outcomes include the development of a regional blue growth strategy, the creation of a digital blue innovation acceleration platform and the organisation of Blue Innovation Hackathons and Expos.
