How AI is changing VET development
Artificial intelligence is changing the way skills needs are identified and how vocational education and training systems respond to them.
As labour markets evolve, VET systems need to update curricula, qualifications and occupational standards more quickly. AI can support this process by helping analyse labour market trends, map competencies and draft curriculum content.
A webinar on practical use and policy choices
On 23 June 2026 at 2PM Brussels time, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) will host a webinar on Developing Vocational Education and Training with Artificial Intelligence.
The discussion will focus on the new OECD report Developing VET with AI. Speakers will look at how AI is being used in curriculum design, qualification development and compliance checks.
Opportunities and risks
The webinar will bring together experts from the OECD, the European Commission, Korea and the Netherlands. They will share practical examples and discuss the opportunities, risks and policy questions linked to using AI in VET systems.
The session will be relevant for stakeholders working on skills, vocational education and training, labour market transitions and workforce development.
