The Academia Digital offers a 600-hour training programme from 20 January to 31 July 2025, aimed at preparing professionals to become Regional Tourist Guides by developing their skills in providing high-quality tourist information and interpreting Portugal's vast heritage.

The Academia Digital, developed by Turismo de Portugal, offers a training programme from 20 January to 31 July 2025, with the option to participate both online and in-person. This 600-hour course, led by the Western School of Hospitality and Tourism, is designed to equip professionals with the skills needed to become Regional Tourist Guides, focusing on the specialisation of human resources in the tourism sector.

Participants will enhance their abilities in various areas, including foreign languages, digital communication, regional history and culture, tourism products and services, and more. Participation requires registration and a fee of EUR 500, with certification contingent upon attending at least 90% of each module, active engagement, and completion of assigned tasks (The original piece available only in Portuguese).
